Assistant Store Manager – Retail Operations & Customer Experience

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in delivering an exceptional beauty retail experience. You will oversee daily operations, drive sales performance, and coach a team of Beauty Advisors and Specialists to meet key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing procedures, grooming standards, tester hygiene, and overall floor readiness.
• Guide staff on consultation techniques, product storytelling, and brand service standards.
• Assist in achieving sales KPIs such as conversion rate, average transaction value, units per transaction, and customer retention.
• Monitor stock levels, replenish key items, and support in‑store activations, promotions, and beauty events.
• Provide on‑floor coaching, product knowledge reinforcement, and feedback to team members.
• Oversee inventory processes including replenishment, shrinkage control, FIFO/FEFO expiry management.
• Ensure visual merchandising compliance with planograms and brand presentation guidelines.
• Maintain accurate cash handling, documentation, and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management or related field (preferred).
• 2–4 years experience in beauty, cosmetics or luxury retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of beauty products, consultation techniques and customer experience standards.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive team performance in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal abilities.
