Assistant Vice President – Vault Management

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Vault Management will lead the bank’s vault operations, overseeing cash handling for domestic branches, VIP customers and international cash flow. Reporting to the Vice President of Transaction Services, the role ensures that vault processes align with QNB’s overall strategy and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all vault management activities, including cash delivery, collection and transit between branches and the Qatar Central Bank.
• Develop and maintain procedures to detect and resolve cash shortages or losses.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers to support vault operations.
• Assist the VP in defining and monitoring KPIs for vault performance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process for the vault department and track expenditures.
• Manage a team of at least five staff members, delegating authority and monitoring compliance.
• Analyze cash movement trends and provide insights for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cash handling, vault management or related banking operations.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, risk management and regulatory standards.
• Leadership experience managing a team of five or more.
• Ability to develop and implement performance metrics and budgeting processes.
