Audio-Visual Technician

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Doha is hiring a full-time Audio-Visual Technician (job number 26139433) to set up, operate and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting and conferencing equipment in banquet and meeting rooms. The position is non-management and involves supporting guests and maintaining equipment to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot all AV, projection, lighting and conferencing equipment, and oversee its set-up in banquet and meeting rooms.
• Ensure equipment is fully operational; repair or clean it when needed, label broken items and report problems to the manager or supervisor.
• Tape down and dress loose wires and cables, and check delivered equipment and room set-up against the Banquet Event Order.
• Communicate changes to flowsheets, assist and instruct guests on equipment use, upsell AV services and monitor equipment operation.
• Break down, remove and secure equipment when not in use, and follow the Marriott Visual Productions (MVP) SOP book.
• Follow safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and welcome guests professionally.
• Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
