وصف الوظيفة
About the role
The Avionics Junior Supervisor reports to the Avionics Senior Supervisor and is an experienced, skilled avionics technician and supervisor who carries out detailed maintenance on aircraft or aircraft components. The post holder must understand the Typhoon-approved data set well enough to supervise others following maintenance instructions within the organisation's regulatory framework, and must analyse and diagnose faults, work in a team and guide less experienced colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision on the Typhoon aircraft or its components, including ground handling, flight servicing, role changes, repairs, modifications, fault rectification and testing.
- Ensure work follows the tasking and approved technical information, and resolve faults and maintenance issues, including configuration management.
- Maintain a personal log book after on-the-job training and sign others' log books where appropriate; if an approved designated assessor, handle authorisations and check Pt 145 licence packs.
- Supervise the team so maintenance stays on schedule, escalate issues and report their impact on the wider programme.
- Keep staff competent and authorised, meet delivery targets, and carry out support tasks needed to comply with the MOE.
- Manage Part 145 activities: set targets, document work, maintain airworthiness records, and ensure suitably qualified personnel carry them out.
- Ensure compliance with the Part 145 Exposition, company procedures, the safety management system, governance and assurance framework, and statutory requirements such as ITAR, EaPW and ISO.
Required profile
- Completion of the Typhoon Avionic Trade 'Q' course.
- Engineering apprenticeship, ideally aeronautical engineering or military equivalent.
- Minimum City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or equivalent.

- Broad, in-depth product knowledge and experience as an experienced supervisor, with at least 2 years at supervisor level before a senior role.

- Desirable: E&Pw and ITAR awareness courses, fire training, leadership and human factors courses.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Expositions and functionally mandated procedures.
- Experience with the Maintenix system (IMS) and Eurofighter support system (ESS).
- IT literate.
