Bell Captain – Luxury Hotel Guest Services

About the role

The Bell Captain leads the bell team at a luxury hotel, ensuring seamless luggage handling and exceptional guest service throughout the property. This position combines hands‑on operational duties with staff supervision to uphold the hotel’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their rooms.
• Retrieve, transport, store, and manage guest luggage according to hotel guidelines.
• Inspect guest rooms and introduce guests to room features and amenities.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and special requests.
• Supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate bell team members.
• Recruit, interview, and train new staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of hotel products, services, events, pricing, policies, and local attractions.
• Assist with the upkeep, appearance, and functionality of bell equipment.

Required profile

• Previous customer‑service experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong listening skills and ability to address demanding guest needs.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Accountable, resilient, and able to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work situations.
