About the role
Join the IHG Hotels & Resorts team in Doha as a Cafeteria Commis. You will support the cafeteria kitchen by preparing simple dishes, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting senior chefs during busy periods.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, cutting, and cooking under supervision.
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, simple hot dishes, and beverages for cafeteria service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cafeteria work areas.
- Follow HACCP food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.
- Receive, store, label food supplies and monitor stock levels.
- Support senior chefs during peak service times and ensure proper use of kitchen equipment.
- Dispose of waste correctly and keep workstations tidy.
Required profile
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality.
- At least 1 year of experience in a hotel or branded food service environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Professional grooming and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
