Cards Analytics Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Cards Analytics Specialist to join a leading regional bank in Doha for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment (extendable). You will own the measurement, analysis, and reporting of the bank’s card portfolio across its entire lifecycle, turning data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain daily, weekly and monthly dashboards that track acquisition, activation, spend, delinquency, attrition and profitability.
• Analyse card performance by product, channel, customer cohort and vintage to identify risks and opportunities.
• Measure the effectiveness of card marketing and engagement campaigns using test‑versus‑control, ROI and response‑rate analysis.
• Partner with Cards Product, Portfolio, Marketing and Risk teams to produce briefing packs, business cases and what‑if scenarios.
• Standardise metric definitions across functions to ensure consistent reporting.
• Continuously improve reporting processes, reduce manual effort and enhance data quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in cards analytics, card portfolio analytics or related business intelligence within banking, payments or financial services.
• Hands‑on experience analysing live credit and/or debit card portfolios.
• Proven ability to interpret data, spot trends and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

Required skills

• Strong SQL – ability to write complex queries against large datasets.
• Advanced Excel – including pivot tables, advanced formulas and data visualisation.
