Chief Accountant - Automotive

About the role

A growing automotive team in Qatar is looking for a skilled, results-driven Chief Accountant. The ideal candidate has solid experience in financial management, accounting operations and reporting, preferably in an automotive dealership or vehicle trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Lead monthly and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Monitor vehicle, spare parts and inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable Qatar regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Support budgeting, cash flow management and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in automotive dealerships or vehicle trading is highly preferred.
• Qatar experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills.
