Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance team. This senior position offers the chance to shape financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance for a dynamic organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and lead the accounting team.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, banks, and inventory.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial planning.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 + years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
• Experience in commodity trading in Oil and Gas is highly preferred.
