Civil Drafter – Heavy Power & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Civil Drafter will produce detailed civil and structural drawings for large‑scale power generation facilities, substations and digital infrastructure projects in Qatar. You will translate engineering calculations into accurate site plans, foundation layouts and structural blueprints using industry‑standard software.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D civil/structural layouts, including earthworks, grading, drainage and paving plans.
• Detail foundations for heavy power equipment such as turbines, generators and transformers.
• Create reinforced concrete detailing and bar‑bending schedules (BBS) for structural elements.
• Update drawings to reflect site feedback and produce As‑Built documentation.
• Coordinate with surveying teams to integrate topographical data.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local civil codes, environmental regulations and EPC project standards.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology.
• 3–5 years of civil drafting experience in heavy industrial or EPC environments.
• Familiarity with local civil codes and environmental requirements.

Required skills

• High proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with Revit Structure.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks.
• Strong ability to produce reinforced concrete detailing and bar‑bending schedules.
