About the role

The Class Teacher will join Durham School for Girls in Qatar, delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons that meet UK Teaching Standards and align with the school’s MARK values, Qatari Ministry of Education expectations, and local cultural norms. The role supports both academic achievement and personal development while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans in line with subject standards and school values.
• Utilise technology and innovative tools to enhance student‑led learning.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and assess student progress regularly.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and manage behaviour expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, SENCO, and line managers to support student well‑being.
• Ensure all teaching resources comply with DSGD/MARK and Qatari cultural values.
• Report any conflicts with values or policies to the line manager promptly.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher meeting UK Teaching Standards.
• Experience teaching in an international or multicultural setting.
• Commitment to professional conduct and continuous development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and stakeholders.
• Understanding of Qatari Ministry of Education guidelines and cultural expectations.
