Clinical Ethics Specialist

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time Clinical Ethics Specialist in Doha, Qatar. The specialist provides ethics consultations, supports ethical decision-making among healthcare providers, staff and patients, and helps shape the organisation's ethical policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely and confidential ethics consultations to healthcare providers, staff and patients or families facing ethical dilemmas.
• Facilitate discussions and mediate conflicts related to patient care, resource allocation and professional conduct.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop, review and update ethical policies, guidelines and procedures in line with the organisation's mission and values.
• Ensure compliance with national and international ethics standards and regulations.
• Design and deliver ethics training programmes for healthcare providers and staff.
• Facilitate ethics committee meetings and follow up on recommendations.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Bioethics, Medical Ethics, Healthcare Ethics or a related field; PhD preferred.
• Clinical background such as nursing, medicine or allied health is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical ethics, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
