Commercial Collections Specialist

About the role

Averda is seeking a results‑driven Collections Specialist to manage commercial accounts and recover outstanding payments. The role is pivotal for maintaining healthy cash flow while fostering strong customer relationships in a fast‑moving waste‑management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial customers to ensure timely collection of overdue invoices.
• Contact customers via calls, emails, and meetings to recover payments.
• Resolve billing disputes by coordinating with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
• Negotiate payment plans while preserving positive relationships.
• Monitor ageing reports and prioritize high‑risk accounts.
• Prepare collection reports, payment forecasts, and status updates for management.
• Escalate delinquent accounts according to company policy and Qatar regulations.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 4–5 years of debt‑collection experience, preferably with key commercial accounts.
• Proactive, ambitious attitude with a strong can‑do mindset.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet collection targets.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
