Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Beach Rotana hotel in Doha is looking for a motivated Commis I to join its kitchen team. In this entry‑level position you will support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in daily food preparation, ensuring high standards of hygiene, quality and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place and food items according to menu specifications.
• Maintain a hygienic work area in line with hotel standards.
• Monitor food stock and control costs within your section.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
• Uphold consistent quality and stay updated on new recipes and techniques.
• Collaborate with other sections to manage cleanliness, wastage and cost control.

Required profile

• Completed a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience in quality establishments with solid culinary skills.
• Good command of English.
• Positive, dynamic and able to work in a multicultural, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong sense of responsibility, adaptability and teamwork.
