Contract Lead

About the role

The Contract Lead will oversee post‑award contract management for a multibillion‑dollar EPCC project, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery. The role combines hands‑on commercial activities with strategic guidance across a large portfolio of critical contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all post‑award contract activities for the EPCC contract, including change orders, variations and contractual correspondence.
• Support the Value Protection plan, identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare regular commercial and performance reports for project leadership.
• Coordinate with the Claims team to handle disputes and claims in line with company governance.
• Maintain effective relationships with Project Management Team, Legal, Risk Management and functional managers.
• Lead contract evaluations, end‑of‑contract close‑outs and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Provide strategic direction on complex contractual situations and stay informed of market dynamics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in the oil & gas industry.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or oversight experience of contractors, subcontractors or vendors.
• Proven experience on lump‑sum major energy projects (post‑award) in a similar role.
• Ability to work under significant time pressure in a multicultural, multinational environment.
