Control Engineering Specialist

About the role

Airswift is looking for a Control Engineering Specialist to join a major oil & gas client in Doha, Qatar. The role involves delivering high‑quality control system engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform control system engineering activities in line with standards, specifications and approved variations.
• Resolve engineering issues, escalating when necessary, and communicate solutions to the team.
• Develop, update and amend policies and procedures related to project management in consultation with senior staff.
• Support external engineering teams to ensure designs meet company and project objectives.
• Evaluate complex tasks, provide recommendations to management, and support multidisciplinary activities.
• Uphold project philosophies, procedures, and company systems throughout design, procurement and construction phases.
• Prepare work plans and schedules, monitor FEED/EPC contractors and third‑party services, and ensure facilities are built to scope and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas, with at least 4 years in a project‑management team role.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex engineering tasks.
