Controller I – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Controller I will act as the strategic financial leader for the property, shaping and executing finance and accounting strategies that support the brand’s service goals. This full‑time position is based at Marriott’s Lusail location and reports to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, market trends and sales forecasts to develop annual budgets and profit improvement plans.
• Maintain strong accounting controls, oversee internal, external and regulatory audits, and ensure accurate P&L reporting.
• Monitor tax obligations, ensure timely collection and accrual, and guarantee compliance with SOPs.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, assigning clear accountability and fostering a culture of integrity.
• Prepare and present financial reports to owners, executive committee and stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (master’s degree accepted without experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or a related professional area.
