Controller I

About the role

The Controller I acts as the strategic financial leader for the property, developing and implementing finance strategies that support brand objectives and maximize return on investment. This full‑time position is based in Lusail, Qatar and reports to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, market trends and forecast sales versus expenses to create annual budgets and profit improvement plans.
• Lead accounting teams, ensuring strong internal controls, accurate P&L reporting and compliance with local SOPs and audit requirements.
• Manage tax obligations, oversee internal, external and regulatory audits, and ensure proper cost‑revenue matching.
• Support stakeholders by communicating financial results, advising the GM and executive committee, and participating in owner meetings.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or master’s degree with no experience required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or a related professional area.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and leadership abilities.
