Customer Service Associate - Retail (M&S)

About the role

The Customer Service Associate delivers outstanding customer service at a Marks & Spencer store in Doha, ensuring satisfaction through effective complaint handling and personalized assistance. The role also covers visual merchandising, inventory management, cash handling and sales support, with success measured by customer satisfaction, store ambiance, sales improvement and efficient transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide a high level of service and assist with their needs, and handle basic complaints, escalating issues as needed
• Maintain the store according to visual merchandising standards and regularly clean and organize the sales floor
• Help receive new shipments, restock the store and keep inventory managed so it is fully stocked
• Recommend products to customers based on their needs, using upselling and cross-selling, staying up to date on product information
• Operate the cash register, process transactions following company payment policies, and keep the checkout area clean and organized

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles focused on excellent service
• Ability to maintain high store standards and help with product organization and cleanliness
• Experience recommending products and engaging in upselling and cross-selling
• Experience operating cash registers and following cash handling procedures
