Customer Service Team Leader – Talent Pool

About the role

As a Customer Service Team Leader you will oversee the safe and accurate loading of aircraft catering, bond and duty‑free items in Doha. You will coordinate with multiple departments to ensure flights are dispatched on time while complying with food safety and airport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure on‑time dispatch of allocated flights according to airline specifications, GLP and food‑safety standards.
• Manage the preparation, loading and hand‑over of catering, bond and duty‑free supplies for each flight.
• Supervise Customer Service Agents, Loading Assistants and Equipment Operators on the ramp.
• Monitor and document food temperatures using calibrated probe guns and maintain critical control point records.
• Handle complex, long‑haul, VIP and charter flights, providing appropriate documentation to cabin crew.
• Maintain and safeguard tablets, radios, PPE and temperature‑probe equipment.
• Coordinate with QACC, Bond Stores and Duty‑Free departments to resolve operational irregularities or emergencies.
• Suggest training programmes and provide feedback to staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airside catering or aircraft loading operations.
• Leadership ability to manage a team of agents and assistants.
• Strong understanding of food‑safety standards and airport safety regulations.
• Excellent communication with cabin crew and internal departments.
• Ability to work under time‑critical conditions and handle emergencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QCATS (Qatar Airways Catering System) or similar airline catering software.
• Operation of calibrated temperature probe guns and documentation of critical control points.
• Knowledge of aircraft loading procedures, ramp safety and marshalling.
• Use of handheld tablets, radios and personal protective equipment.
