Data Architect – Operational Digital Twin

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Data Architect to lead the data and information architecture of a large‑scale Operational Digital Twin programme for a major national infrastructure owner in the Middle East. The role spans discovery, proof‑of‑concept, implementation and post‑implementation support, ensuring a coherent, scalable and well‑governed data foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Solution Architect and Product Manager in defining and maintaining the data architecture across all project phases.
• Develop logical and physical data models for core domains such as assets, networks, locations, work orders, sensors and events.
• Design data flows and integration patterns between the Digital Twin platform and enterprise systems (EAM/CMMS, ERP, BIM, SCADA/IoT, GIS, data warehouses/lakes).
• Perform data profiling and quality assessments on source and ingested datasets, identifying issues and their impact on use cases.
• Produce recommendations and requirements to address data‑quality deficiencies, including cleansing, enrichment and standardisation.
• Contribute to master and reference data management and ensure validation checks and quality rules are applied.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing logical and physical data models for large‑scale geospatial or digital‑twin initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate with solution architects, data‑governance SMEs, GIS leads and international development teams.
• Strong analytical mindset for data profiling, quality assessment and remediation planning.

Required skills

• Data modeling (logical & physical) for assets, networks, locations, work orders, sensors and events.
• Geospatial data integration and handling of time‑series and BIM data.
• API design and integration patterns with EAM/CMMS, ERP, SCADA/IoT, GIS and data warehouses/lakes.
• Data profiling, quality assessment and definition of validation checks.
• Master and reference data management.
