Senior Data Specialist – Product Development & Design

About the role

At Qatar Airways, the Senior Data Specialist will join the Product Development & Design team in Doha to turn complex data sets into actionable insights that shape passenger experience, product strategy and operational performance. Working closely with product managers, designers and experience strategists, you will be embedded in the business to support data‑driven decision making from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse internal datasets on passenger behaviour, product usage, operational performance and service delivery to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities.
• Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations that support strategic planning and performance tracking.
• Monitor KPIs across all onboard passenger experience touchpoints and provide regular performance updates and deep‑dive analyses.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, service and operational teams to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives by providing analytical input during planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor on data‑driven decision‑making within the Product Development team.
• Prepare clear, compelling presentations and reports for leadership and communicate complex findings in accessible language for non‑technical audiences.
• Contribute to strategic narratives that guide future product and service enhancements.
• Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of the Department.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with experience in data analysis and storytelling.
• Proven ability to work closely with product managers, designers and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to present insights to leadership and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor and support data‑driven decision making.
