Data Engineer (Arabic Speaker) – 12‑Month Contract in Doha

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its Doha office on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on turning complex business challenges into data‑driven solutions while requiring fluency in Arabic and strong English communication.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business problems and translate them into research and analytical studies.
• Identify and source relevant data, defining the required data types for analysis.
• Gather, clean, and prepare data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct in‑depth data analysis to extract actionable insights.
• Interpret findings and present recommendations to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related analytical discipline.
• 10+ years of proven experience in data analytics or a similar analytical role.
• Professional certification in Data Analytics (preferred).
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and strong proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Programming languages: SQL, Python, R, Oracle.
• Experience with data modelling, database design, segmentation and data‑mining techniques.
• Hands‑on with reporting tools and frameworks such as XML, ETL and JavaScript.
• Statistical methods and algorithm design.
• Big‑data platforms: Apache Spark, Hadoop.
• Data‑visualisation tools: Power BI, Tableau.
