Director, Logistics

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑driven Director of Logistics to shape the strategic direction of our logistics sector. The role involves leading sector development, attracting investment, building partnerships and enhancing competitiveness across supply‑chain, warehousing, distribution, transportation and trade‑facilitation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics sector strategies and growth plans.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen logistics, supply‑chain, warehousing, freight forwarding and transportation ecosystems.
• Monitor global logistics trends, trade patterns and supply‑chain innovations.
• Create value propositions and engage local and international investors to attract logistics operators, distributors, e‑commerce providers and manufacturers.
• Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking and develop business cases for sector expansion.
• Build and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, shipping companies, airlines, regulators and government entities.
• Support planning and optimisation of logistics infrastructure, technology and policy requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional projects, set KPIs and prepare executive reports for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, International Trade or a related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in logistics, supply‑chain management, transportation, trade facilitation or economic development.
