Director of Public Relations

About the role

The Director of Public Relations will lead and manage all PR activities to strengthen the organisation's presence and align with strategic communication objectives. This senior position oversees media content delivery, stakeholder relationships, and crisis communication policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an overarching PR strategy that supports the organisation’s strategic goals.
• Lead international PR projects and campaigns, ensuring timelines, guidelines, and key messages are met.
• Guide digital media, internal communication, and public affairs strategies to maximise positive coverage.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on PR and digital media impact against public awareness targets.
• Develop SOPs, processes and policies for PR, internal/external relations and digital media.
• Build long‑term relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including government entities and media representatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, management, graphic design or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of full‑time experience in website design/production and management of social and digital platforms within a large organisation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross‑functional projects.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in budgeting, business‑plan development and crisis communication.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
