Director of Sales

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead the sales and revenue management functions for Mondrian Doha, driving room, food & beverage and catering revenues to exceed budgeted targets. Reporting to the Commercial Director and the Senior Vice President of Sales and Revenue Management, you will shape the strategic sales plan and represent the hotel in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage group, transient and all sales activities across the property.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans, SMART goals, budgets and forecasts.
• Set rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies based on competitive data and demand analysis.
• Recruit, train, coach and supervise Sales Managers, Revenue Management team and Sales Administrators.
• Lead sales presentations, client meetings and negotiate contracts.
• Oversee advertising, public relations and promotional activities in collaboration with corporate marketing.
• Monitor top accounts, analyse market trends and ensure accountability of sales staff.
• Participate in daily business reviews, weekly strategic meetings and community industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior sales leadership within the hospitality industry.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue targets and managing large sales teams.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and adjust strategies.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of hotel operations across rooms, F&B and catering.
