Division Chief - Endocrinology

About the role

The Division Chief – Endocrinology reports to the Executive Chair of Medicine and provides clinical, educational, research and executive leadership for the Endocrinology division at Sidra Medicine. The role combines senior management of resources, strategy, and performance with continued personal clinical practice and academic responsibilities at Weill Cornell Medical College – Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the division’s strategic plan, business plan and budget, ensuring alignment with Sidra’s overall objectives.
• Lead clinical service planning, capacity management and quality improvement for inpatient and outpatient endocrinology services.
• Oversee recruitment, retention, performance management and professional development of medical and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission International, Qatar Supreme Council of Health and other regulatory standards.
• Drive research, translational projects and undergraduate teaching in partnership with the college.
• Represent the division in hospital committees, external outreach and community partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• MD degree with residency training in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in endocrinology.
• At least 5 years of academic leadership experience as a section chief or similar senior role.
• Full‑time appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College – Qatar with Associate Professor or Professor rank.
