Early Years Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a warm, creative and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha. You will help build an exceptional play‑based and inquiry‑led learning environment for children aged 3–6 within the IB PYP Early Years framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based and inquiry‑led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework.
• Create and maintain a nurturing, safe and stimulating classroom where all children feel valued.
• Assess and track children’s development using observations and portfolio evidence to inform next steps.
• Build strong, collaborative partnerships with parents and families through regular communication.
• Contribute to the planning, reflection and review of units of inquiry with the Early Years team.
• Promote the IB learner profile, international‑mindedness and PYP attitudes in all classroom practice.
• Support children’s wellbeing, independence and social‑emotional development.
• Participate positively in the wider school community, including CPD, events and improvement activities.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Experience teaching in an Early Years setting with children aged 3–6, ideally within an IB or international school.
• Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or an equivalent inquiry‑based curriculum.
• Strong understanding of child development theory and play‑based, child‑initiated learning approaches.
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach to working with young children and families.
• Commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding and child protection.

Required skills
