E&I Inspector (CompEx) – Offshore Oil & Gas

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for an E&I Inspector with CompEx certification to join its team in Doha. The role covers inspection of electrical and instrumentation installations on offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality criteria and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations and verify materials, equipment and workmanship against approved drawings and procedures.
• Enforce offshore HSE requirements, including permit-to-work systems, confined space entry and electrical isolation.
• Witness and verify pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, and ensure work is carried out under valid permits.
• Prepare inspection reports, maintain calibration records, issue Non-Conformance Reports and confirm instrument calibration and traceability.
• Liaise with construction teams, QA/QC and client representatives during inspections and approvals.
• Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions and suggest improvements to inspection practices and safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years of offshore inspection experience in oil and gas projects.
• CompEx certificate, BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified), basic H2S training and offshore medical fitness.
