About the role

We are seeking an experienced physician‑educator to join our academic medical center in Qatar. The role combines teaching, clinical emergency care, and scholarly activity within the undergraduate medical program.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑lead the Emergency Medicine Clerkship and deliver integrated foundational science teaching.
• Provide bedside emergency care to adult patients in hospital‑based settings and ensure safe, evidence‑based practice.
• Mentor students in clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and professional development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient‑centered care.
• Engage in clinical, educational, or translational research and contribute to publications and grant‑funded projects.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent with American Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum three years of undergraduate‑level teaching experience in an academic health system.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and use of diverse pedagogical methods.
• Passion for student success and strong communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Clinical emergency medicine expertise.
• Experience with bedside teaching, simulation, problem‑based learning, lectures, small‑group sessions, journal clubs, and flipped classroom approaches.
• Ability to conduct and publish research in clinical or educational domains.
