Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

The Employee Relations Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters within a leading Qatar‑based technology and digital solutions organisation. This senior HR professional will manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans while ensuring compliance with Qatar labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for employee grievances, workplace concerns and conflict resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions or actions.
• Manage disciplinary cases, performance issues and develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
• Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures and Qatar employment regulations.
• Advise and coach managers on effective communication, conflict handling and employee relations best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling complex and sensitive ER cases.
• Support employee engagement, recognition programmes and other people initiatives.
• Keep accurate documentation and case records, ensuring alignment with legal and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 + years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Prior experience in Qatar, with solid knowledge of Qatar Labour Law.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities.
• HR/HC certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of Qatar labour legislation.
• Hands‑on experience with grievances, investigations, disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
