Engineer I – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Engineer I provides on‑site technical support for guest rooms and hotel facilities, ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure operate safely and efficiently. This full‑time position works closely with guests, housekeeping, and other departments to resolve maintenance requests promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and perform corrective actions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room systems.
• Inspect, lubricate, and clean equipment; identify shut‑off valves and utility controls.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Perform basic repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and cosmetic items.
• Execute painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs, as well as landscaping and sprinkler maintenance.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Program televisions, update air‑handler schedules, and adjust temperature settings via computer.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb (heavier items with assistance).
• Strong communication skills with guests and team members.
• Commitment to safety policies, hazard reporting, and confidentiality.
