Engineering Manager – Room Preventive Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead all engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel, ensuring safety, security, and asset protection while delivering the brand’s Gold Standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical systems and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
• Control budgets, capital projects, energy conservation initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and administer service contracts, supervise contractors, and oversee renovation or new‑construction projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and grounds to maintain high guest‑satisfaction standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with 3 years of engineering/maintenance experience, or a 2‑year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, etc., with 1 year experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, projects and lead emergency response teams.
