Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join Waagner Biro Bridge Services. The role will focus on preparing cost estimates, tender pricing and post‑award commercial activities for civil, infrastructure and MEP projects, primarily within the Qatar market.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contractual requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and rate build‑ups for civil, structural, O&M and MEP works.
• Develop tender pricing, commercial proposals, clarifications, qualifications, exclusions and assumptions.
• Manage post‑award activities including valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission of multiple tenders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction estimation or quantity surveying.
• At least 5 years of experience in the GCC, preferably Qatar, with knowledge of Ashghal contractual practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel for cost modelling.
• Experience with estimation/quantity surveying software such as Candy or CCS.
