Facade Engineer

About the role

The Facade Engineer will lead the engineering and execution of curtain wall, skylight and aluminium composite panel (ACP) facades for high‑rise projects. You will ensure that designs meet structural, performance and code requirements while coordinating closely with contractors, consultants and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate shop drawings, fabrication details, profile extrusions and perform structural load calculations (wind, dead load, seismic) for curtain walls, skylights and ACP cladding.
• Oversee factory cutting, assembly tolerances, anodizing and powder‑coating processes, and conduct mock‑up performance tests for water, air and structural integrity.
• Supervise on‑site installation teams, resolve interface and waterproofing issues, and verify compliance with approved drawings and international standards (ASTM, BS, EN).
• Manage material estimations, project schedules and obtain technical approvals from main contractors, consultants and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in structural glazing, stick or unitised curtain‑wall systems and aluminium fabrication.
• Experience working in the GCC region and, preferably, UPDA/MMUP registration and a valid Qatar driving licence.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (mandatory), Revit (BIM), STAAD.Pro and Orgadata (LogiKal) software.
• Structural load calculation and knowledge of ASTM, BS and EN codes.
• QA/QC of factory fabrication, mock‑up testing and waterproofing solutions.
• Design and detailing of curtain‑wall, skylight and ACP façade systems.
