Facilities Manager

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and safety of Etqan Global Academy’s campus in Doha. The role ensures that the school’s buildings, grounds and infrastructure support a high‑quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the school estate, guaranteeing safety, functionality and compliance.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and manage reactive maintenance requests.
• Arrange statutory inspections, testing, certification and support internal and external audits.
• Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely and to high standards.
• Assist with planning, coordination and delivery of refurbishment and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain asset registers, equipment records and maintenance histories for effective lifecycle management.
• Support facilities budgeting, procurement and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Provide facilities support for school events, examinations and emergency situations.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or a related field.
• Proven experience managing facilities operations in a complex environment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance programmes and contractors.
• Strong understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance and facilities management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Desirable: Certified Facility Manager (CFM), FMP, NEBOSH, IOSH or Project Management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2).
• Experience in an education setting or GCC region is a plus.
