Finance Manager (Qatari)

About the role

The Finance Manager supervises the entire Finance Department, covering budgeting, financial planning, financial operations and reporting, cash and fund management, and accounting and bookkeeping. The role supports the smooth operation of the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Budgeting and financial planning: comply with the approved budgeting policy, consolidate data for budget presentations, use management accounting and reporting tools, develop financial planning strategies and report long-term issues affecting the organization.
• Financial operations, reporting and compliance: produce timely management reports, supervise monthly, half-yearly and annual accounts, ensure regular audits of final accounts and interface with auditors.
• Cash and funds management: process capital expenditure proposals, validate returns and budgetary provisions, forecast cash across the organization, drive cost optimization and prepare cash flow forecasts in line with policy.
• Accounting and bookkeeping: oversee bill passing, reconciliations, vouchers, ledger entries, creditor and debtor control, petty cash and bank account management, and set up fund management norms within budgetary controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy.
• CPA or ACCA qualification.
• At least 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years as Finance Head or Manager.
• Experience in healthcare and/or hospitality, preferably within the governmental sector.
