Fire Alarm and Suppression System Technician

About the role

SOSi is seeking a Fire Alarm and Suppression System Technician to support its government customer in Doha, Qatar. The role involves maintaining and inspecting fire alarm and fire suppression systems across large facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager in managing all fire alarm (FA) and fire suppression (FS) systems on the contract.
• Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of FA systems, FS systems, engine‑driven fire pumps, and fire extinguishers, including hydrostatic testing.
• Manage FA and FS alert and reporting systems, system installations/modifications, and component inventory.
• Prepare and submit NFPA and Department of State required documentation, job hazard analyses, and regular reports.

Required profile

• Current NICET Level III or IV certification for fire alarm or fire suppression systems.
• Minimum five years of experience with FA and FS inspection, testing, maintenance, and documentation.
• At least two years of O&M support on U.S. contracts overseas.
• Ability to lift over 25 lb, bend, twist, and climb ladders as required.
