Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees daily operations across the hotel’s restaurants, banquets, room service and other outlets, ensuring a five‑star guest experience. This position leads front‑of‑house teams, manages stock and costs, and drives revenue through upselling while maintaining luxury service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead front‑of‑house staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to luxury service protocols.
• Conduct thorough handovers between shifts and coordinate closely with kitchen and other departments.
• Prepare service areas, including table settings and polished cutlery, before and during service.
• Manage inventory, place timely orders, and control waste to minimise costs.
• Implement upselling programmes to drive revenue.
• Handle cash and credit‑card transactions in line with company policies.
• Complete all shift checklists, reporting, and closure paperwork accurately.
• Address guest complaints promptly, ensuring recovery and satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, fire regulations and food‑safety legislation.
• Ensure team appearance, grooming and punctuality meet brand standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage service.
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role within a luxury hotel or similar environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate front‑of‑house teams.
• Strong understanding of cost control, inventory management and revenue generation.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest‑focused mindset.
