General Manager – Events

About the role

Candidzone is seeking a General Manager (Events) to lead the planning, management, commercial performance and successful delivery of exhibitions, conferences and events in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall planning and execution of large‑scale exhibitions, conferences and events.
• Manage commercial performance, budgets, timelines and quality standards.
• Oversee teams, supplier relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Drive negotiation and partnership development with corporate clients, sponsors and strategic partners.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in exhibitions, events, conferences or related industries.
• Proven senior leadership experience in event management.
• Strong background in budgeting, P&L, supplier management and team leadership.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and client management skills.
• Experience with corporate clients, exhibitors, sponsors and strategic partners.
• Qatari market experience is highly preferred.
• Must be currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID.
• Immediate availability to join.
