Head Barista

About the role

We are looking for a Head Barista to lead our coffee service team at our Sheraton hotel in Doha. The successful candidate will oversee daily opening and closing operations, ensure high‑quality guest experiences, and manage cash and inventory controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
• Handle cash transactions, count the bank at shift end, prepare cashier reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Record orders and generate MICROS reports in real time.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff.
• Maintain compliance with safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 10 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
• Cash handling and basic banking procedures.
