Head, Engineering Technical Services

About the role

QatarEnergy is looking for a Head of Engineering Technical Services for the Idd El-Shargi North Dome (ISND) Project in Doha. The role leads all technical engineering disciplines and is accountable for delivering technical design and engineering services across every stage of project execution, ensuring technical quality and integrity while meeting safety, quality, time and cost objectives in line with project and corporate procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all technical engineering disciplines and deliver technical design and engineering services across all stages of project execution.
• Manage the Technical Competence requirement for all engineering disciplines, from new graduates to the highest level Technical Authority.
• Ensure discipline management meets project objectives in terms of safety, quality, time and cost.

Required profile

• 15 years of relevant postgraduate experience, including 8 years as a Senior Engineering Manager on major offshore projects and sites in the Oil & Gas industry, globally and/or in the Arabian Gulf region.
• Bachelor's degree in discipline engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, or certified PMP membership.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international, Shell DEP and/or QatarEnergy standards relevant to the area of expertise.
• Extensive leadership, coordination, communication and management skills within an integrated PTF organisation and in dealing with EPIC contractor PTF.
