Head of Budgeting & Forecasting

About the role

The Head of Budgeting & Forecasting will lead the end‑to‑end budgeting and forecasting process for qatarferti and its subsidiaries. This senior position ensures that budgets are prepared, consolidated and presented in a controlled, digitalised manner while providing accurate financial insight to senior management and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain budgeting and forecasting templates and digital tools for all departments.
• Collect, review and validate budget and forecast submissions for accuracy, completeness and compliance with policies.
• Consolidate departmental data into group‑wide budgets, including revenue, OPEX and CAPEX, and prepare financial statements for management review.
• Monitor budget versus forecast throughout the year, produce variance analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present budget reports to the Board of Directors and shareholders.
• Develop and update guidelines, scorecards and KPIs for financial performance measurement.
• Lead a team, ensure quality control, confidentiality and regular communication of management decisions.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including IT‑driven automation and digitalisation.
• Coordinate with other functions to gather inputs and provide ad‑hoc financial reports for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to scrutinise large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior management and shareholders.
• Leadership experience in supervising a finance team.
