Hostess – Guest Reservations & Front‑of‑House

About the role

The Hostess is responsible for managing guest reservations and providing a warm welcome to patrons at the IZU and IZU Bistro outlets of Mandarin Oriental Doha. She ensures smooth front‑of‑house operations by handling bookings, maintaining the reservation database, and escorting guests to their tables.

Key responsibilities

• Take reservations by phone, email, internet booking applications and in person, and record them accurately in the reservation system.
• Re‑confirm all bookings and schedule seating arrangements in coordination with management.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date table count, releasing tables promptly when they become available.
• Offer alternative dining options or waiting arrangements when the outlet is fully booked.
• Welcome and escort guests, ensuring a pleasant first impression.
• Assist with operational tasks under the guidance of outlet managers.
• Comply with all corporate policies, data‑protection rules and the MOHG Code of Conduct.
• Support learning and development activities and safeguard confidential guest information.

Required profile

• Good understanding of the outlet’s concept, food‑and‑beverage offerings and current promotions.
• Ability to explain menu items and promotions verbally to guests.
• Commitment to adhere to hotel policies, including safety, harassment‑free environment and social‑media guidelines.
• Professional demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
