About the role

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at a luxury hotel restaurant on The Pearl Island, Doha. This role ensures a welcoming atmosphere, manages seating flow, and supports guests throughout their dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
• Guide guests through the dining area, assist with special‑needs seating, and monitor table availability.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, practice clean‑as‑you‑go procedures, and keep menus current and wrinkle‑free.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies, reporting any incidents promptly.
• Answer telephone calls with professional etiquette and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Support team goals by fostering positive relationships and responding to employee concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance, clear communication, and adherence to quality standards.
