Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Housekeeping Attendants and assigned colleagues.
• Allocate work assignments and ensure staffing coverage according to occupancy and operational needs.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas and other assigned spaces to verify cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned, serviced and released in line with hotel procedures.
• Coordinate room status with Front Office, handling priorities, discrepancies and special requests.
• Monitor guest requests, complaints and special arrangements, ensuring timely resolution.
• Enforce SOPs, hygiene standards, safety procedures and hotel policies among housekeeping staff.
• Conduct regular inspections, provide feedback and coaching to team members.
• Report maintenance defects and follow up with Engineering for prompt resolution.
• Manage proper use, storage and inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment, linen, amenities and other supplies.
• Maintain accurate records, checklists and departmental documentation.
