Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads daily operations of the housekeeping department in a five‑star luxury hotel, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The role combines team leadership, quality inspections and guest service to maintain the hotel’s premium brand image.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities, assign tasks and create cleaning schedules for room attendants and cleaners.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces to verify compliance with luxury standards.
• Train, mentor and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing feedback and addressing performance issues.
• Monitor inventory of linens, cleaning products and amenities, ordering supplies within budget limits.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure health‑safety compliance, including proper handling of chemicals.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury or five‑star hotel, with 1‑2 years in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or hotel management qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of luxury housekeeping standards, sanitation protocols and guest service excellence.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
