Inclusion Teacher (SEN) – Permanent Position

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Inclusion Teacher to lead a specialised classroom for students with additional learning needs. This permanent role involves delivering high‑quality, adapted instruction and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to diverse learning profiles.
• Use evidence‑based SEN strategies to promote engagement, independence and social development.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour and interventions, using data to inform teaching.
• Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and families.
• Adapt curriculum content and assessments to ensure accessibility for all students.
• Work closely with therapists, specialists and support staff to embed therapeutic recommendations into classroom routines.
• Promote a culture of inclusion, empathy and respect across the school community.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in special education or inclusive teaching.
• Strong understanding of SEN assessment tools, IEP processes and curriculum adaptation.
• Excellent collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, parents and external specialists.
• Commitment to creating a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment.
