Industrial Projects Specialist

About the role

The Industrial Projects Specialist will support DHL Global Forwarding’s freight operations in Doha by managing end‑to‑end logistics processes for major customers and oversized cargo. The role ensures shipments move smoothly from routing through delivery while keeping customers informed of status and any exceptions.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively inform customers on shipment status, handle inquiries and provide updates on incident resolution.
• Supervise daily operations for key accounts, including routing, customs clearance, permit acquisition and HSE compliance for over‑dimension cargo.
• Coordinate bookings for Air Freight (AFR) and Ocean Freight (OFR) and monitor delivery schedules.
• Escalate issues when required and work with internal departments to maintain service standards.
• Monitor profitability of files, prepare reports and ensure billing aligns with customer expectations.
• Maintain communication with expediting, inspection and logistics teams to guarantee smooth information flow.
• Build and manage relationships with internal and external service providers to meet performance targets.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑orientation with the ability to communicate shipment updates clearly.
• Experience supervising logistics operations and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail in handling permits, customs documentation and HSE requirements.
• Ability to analyse operational data and propose efficiency improvements.
