Instrument Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Instrument Technician to join our plant operations team. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and control equipment to ensure high reliability and availability of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair control valves, actuators, transmitters, analyzers, PLC systems, LT/HT drives, sensors and switches.
• Execute work orders using SAP/CMMS and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Prepare calibration reports and defect rectification documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, Permit‑to‑Work procedures, risk assessments and safe handling of analytical chemicals.

Required profile

• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of experience in instrumentation and control maintenance within power generation, desalination, utilities or oil & gas.
• Certification or training in First Aid, CPR, Emergency Fire Fighting, H₂S and Process Safety.
